Albertsons Makes Winter Grocery Shopping A Seamless Experience

Last updated December 01, 2020 by Totally Boise

Albertsons acknowledges that winter can be a chaotic time for families. That’s why they’ve created solutions to make your winter and holiday grocery shopping a more convenient experience. Albertsons is continuing its Drive Up & Go™ program without fees, creating premade holiday meals, offering catering services, and providing easily accessible grab and go meals. In addition to giving customers new ways to shop, Albertsons’ main priority is honoring their Boise roots by giving back to the local community.

Albertsons Drive Up & Go™

Not only does the Drive Up & Go™ program give customers a way to save time, but it provides a method to social distance during the COVID-19 pandemic. Holidays are a time when grocery stores are crowded. Avoid the crowds and hassle by shopping online and picking up groceries. The best part is the Drive Up & Go program at Albertsons currently has no fees, offers the same pricing online as in-store, and is available at any local Albertsons.

Totally Boise tried Albertsons Drive Up & Go program –– let’s just say we don’t want to go back to “normal” grocery shopping! The four-step shopping process is easy and seamless.

1. Pick out your groceries online.

Albertsons.com is well-organized, which makes it easy to pick out your groceries. You can create your Albertsons account and add things to your cart as the week goes by.

2. Pick your preferred Albertsons pickup time/location.

Albertsons has over 31 Treasure Valley locations and over 50-time slots during the day at each site — allowing families to pick up their groceries on their own time and at their earliest convenience.

3. Drive to Albertsons and park in the designated pickup spots.

Each Albertsons store has designated pickup spots located at the front of the store, making them easy to find. Once you park, call the number labeled on your parking spot, indicate you are ready for your groceries, and they will be loaded in your car.

4. Drive home & unpack.

One simple step remains — drive home and unpack.

Albertsons Premade Holiday Meals

Holidays can be stressful, especially with the added challenge of cooking for family and friends. Luckily, Albertsons makes a complete premade holiday meal. Their goal is to give families more time to spend with each other, rather than cooking all day. You can purchase premade holiday meals at Albertsons on Broadway or Albertsons Market Street. All you have to do is pre-order for the desired date.

Albertsons Catering & Grab and Go Meals

Holiday’s come and go quickly, but the need for precooked meals does not. Albertsons has two convenient meal options for its customers.

Albertsons Catering – perfect for parties and other get-togethers.

Albertsons Grab and Go Meals – perfect for single-serve meals when you are on the go, have a short lunch break, or simply don’t want to cook.

Both of these solutions are available at any local Albertsons.

Albertsons Gives Back

A local staple since 1939, Albertsons understands the struggles some families face throughout the holiday season. That’s why they created the Santa Bucks campaign–– a way for customers to donate at checkout to help local families in need.

All the proceeds from Santa Bucks stay local to support local organizations focused on hunger relief — including the Idaho Food Bank. Prior to Santa Bucks, Albertsons also hosted a Turkey Bucks campaign for Thanksgiving. In 2019, 35,000-holiday meals were donated through the Turkey and Santa Bucks program.

Albertsons can help whether you are looking for an easy way to grocery shop, host a dinner, or give back to your local community — let Albertsons make your grocery shopping experience stress-free.
