6 End of Summer Weekend Ideas in Boise

Last updated September 08, 2020 by Totally Boise

Summer 2020 is coming to an end, on September 22 we’ll be moving into the fall 2020 season. While some people are already sipping on pumpkin spiced lattes, others are getting in as many summer activities as they can. Take advantage of the many summer activities offered in Boise before we head into the fall.

Totally Boise came up with 6 fun activities to do before summer ends.

1. Float the Boise River:

Although many people have already started pulling out their pumpkin-spiced everything, we've still got warm days filled with sunny skies ahead. Kick your weekend off with a Boise River float, friends, and good times.

2. Go Camping:

One of the greatest things about Boise is the accessibility to some of the best camping spots around! Pack up and head out to one of Idaho’s beautiful camping sites. Sun Valley, Stanley, and High Valley are just some of the places Totally Boise loves to visit. If camping isn’t your thing, here are some amazing places just a short trip from Boise to explore!

3. Shop/Support Local Businesses:

Many businesses have been hit hard during the pandemic. While supporting your favorite local business can be done during any time of the year, it’s important to remind yourself of the places you truly love to support. Try ordering a 6-pack directly from your favorite local brewery before camping or shop downtown Boise’s boutiques for deals while as they transition into fall and winter attire.
