Going on four years, Awakenings Coffee House started their business with the idea of wanting to make an impact in the Boise community. Showing commitment to the community is a display near the order line that includes handmade items made locally by refugees with all proceeds going to the artist. This makes ordering coffee even more fun when shopping and supporting the local community. Awakenings also donates a portion of their proceeds to organizations that help women and children in Boise and Ethiopia.
Creating handcrafted coffees and espressos using beans from Identity Coffee Roasters, Awakenings also has teas, smoothies and kombucha. If you aren’t sure what to start with, you can always look to their “Staff Specials” and order fun employee picks like “The Meg”; a salted lavender breve, or “The Amanda”; a mango coconut orange Italian cream soda.
