How To Soak Up The Sun At Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area

Last updated February 24, 2022 by Mariah Hebbeln

Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is the closest ski hill to Boise, just 16 miles from the mountain's base to the top. Now, as the winter season is in its final weeks, you don't need to fret. There will still be plenty of skiing, snowboarding, attractions and events throughout the warmer spring months.

A unique feature of Bogus Basin is that they've been operating as a non-profit. Every dollar spent on lift tickets, attractions, lodging, and beer at the bar goes back into the mountain!

So as the weather gets warmer and the sun lingers in the sky a little longer, don't miss out on what's happening up at Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area!

Being a Non-profit Means More For The Mountain

Bogus Basin is committed and passionate about giving back to its amazing recreational community. Buy a beer in the lodge? Or a full-season pass? Every purchase made at the mountain goes directly back into supporting the services and events put on by Bogus. Funding snow school, search, and rescue, and fantastic staff and amenities.

Bogus Basin is just one of just a handful of non-profit recreation areas in the country, dedicated to our mission of providing accessible, affordable and fun year-round mountain recreation and education.

Do your part to support Bogus Basin by making your tax-deductible contribution today!

Glade Runner Mountain Coaster

Idaho's ONLY mountain coaster, this screaming-fast thrill ride, takes you down 4,330 feet of mountain sidetracks. Both a driver and one passenger can ride the cart together.

Bungee Trampoline

Break the laws of gravity at 7,000 feet above sea level! During the 5-minute session you can strap into the bungee-trampoline combo and flip, hop, and bounce to your heart's content.

Climbing Wall

Using an auto belay system, the 32-foot climbing wall is a fun activity that gets you above everyone and embraces some killer views. For the competitive types, you can race a friend against the built-in timers. A 15-minute climbing session is available with purchase of a ticket.
