Owners, Ashley and Jackie Schultz-Barkley of Rocky Mountains Balloons in downtown Meridian have officially announced their new storefront, Ash + Jack Supply Co. Their new concept is centered towards empowerment and equality, guests can find their decor and gift needs all in one space.
Ashley and Jackie started Rocky Mountain Balloons in the fall of 2019 while they were planning their own DIY wedding. They quickly realized there was a demand for balloon artistry and event design, and from there, Rocky Mountain Balloons emerged. Rocky Mountain Balloons has grown from humble beginnings — operating out of their living room during the global pandemic to opening their first location inside The Happy Hour Homemaker to their current and very own space in downtown Meridian. Now, the storefront has shifted into the curated space known as Ash + Jack Supply Co. with Rocky Mountain Balloons operating as an extension.
A Curated Shop Created for Inclusivity in Idaho
Ashley and Jackie created their boutique shop with gifts centered towards empowerment, equality, celebrating mental health and life’s moments. With women, AAPI, BIPOC, and LGBTQ-made products, guests can expect to see items ranging from heartwarming birthday cards and dried floral arrangements to irreverent stickers and self-care workbooks.
As a Veteran, LGBTQ, Women, and Minority-Owned business, Ashley and Jackie truly believe anyone who walks in can find a trinket to enjoy, whether it be for yourself or gifted to a loved one. With representation in every item, inclusivity is their first priority. They are continuously working on offering more sizes in their apparel and expanding their inventory. The store offers gift-wrapping year-round, rather than just the holiday season. They use handmade wrapping paper and satin bows crafted by women-owned makers. Decorating Your Next Event Responsibly
Ashley and Jackie have incorporated their values of uplifting their local community and sustainability within their business practices. They have a sustainability program to help recycle used balloons and party materials to cut down on the amount of leftover materials produced from events. They also developed a program to give back to local non-profit organizations that provide support to Idaho students.
Totally Boise recently had a beautiful, custom-made balloon arch designed and created by Ashley and Jackie for our annual block party. The balloon arch elevated our event by adding a fun and playful backdrop for our guests to take photos with. Ashley and Jackie made the process extremely seamless from start to finish, and we were able to customize our arch with various sizes and colors to match our party perfectly. When it was time for the party, they installed the arch for us. It’s safe to say we will use Ash + Jack Supply Co. for all our event and balloon needs in the future!
