Camas County Rodeo Welcomes Bikes Into Their Schedule of Events

On July 9th and 10th, Fairfield, Idaho will host its 10th Camas County Rodeo. Here, athletes of all kinds will gather between the C Me Later Arena and the mountain biking trails of nearby Soldier Mountain.

Earlier this year, the two entities partnered up and announced the first-ever Mountain Bike Rodeo.

Camas County Rodeo Welcomes Bikes Into Their Schedule of Events

Mountain Bike Rodeo in Iconic Fairfield, Idaho

These “bucking broncos” bikers will test their racing skills down two different tracks on the hillside of Soldier Mountain, July 10th, from 3 pm - 6 pm.

Riders can compete in one of the four categories:

  • Boys ages 3-14
  • Girls ages 3-14
  • Men ages 15 and older
  • Women ages 15 and older

And the prizes are going to be hotly fought over!

  • First place will receive a four-day punch pass to Soldier MTB Park
  • Second place will receive a one-day pass to Soldier MTB Park
  • Third place will receive a T-shirt

Each winner will also receive complimentary tickets to the Camas County Rodeo after the end of the races. You won’t want to miss these cow-spokes competing for the event's fastest time!

Idaho Hometown Rodeo Heating Up in July

The second weekend of July, bull breakers, bronco riders, and other brave rodeo athletes will show off their skills for enthusiastic on-lookers. Starting at 6 pm on Friday, July 9th, and running through Saturday, July 10th, the fun will be non-stop. Head to the C Me Later Arena on HWY 20 to catch all the action.

Featuring certified contestants from the Idaho Cowboys Association, you can witness riders who compete in events all over the United States. The tournament also welcomes any rider over the age of 18 to sign up and try their hand at their hometown bull riding event. Camas County Rodeo Welcomes Bikes Into Their Schedule of Events

Along with the rodeo competition, Iron Mountain Inn will host attendees for Karaoke on Friday night and Dirty Johnny Saturday night. Both musical events start at 9 pm after the rodeo ends for the night. Touted as the place for, “Good Food, Good Mood, and Good Booze,” they will be serving up Big Ole Carnival Style Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches and a Baked Potato Bar with all the fixings.

Admission to the rodeo is $10 for anyone 9 years or older. Food vendors will be serving their creations truck side and adults can relax in the beer garden.

So grab your best boots and some sunscreen and get ready to have a rootin’ tootin’ good time!
