Longoria Game Truck: The Treasure Valley’s First Mobile Gaming Experience

Last updated June 26, 2021 by Mariah Hebbeln

The gaming industry has become a force to be reckoned with as technology continues to evolve constantly and gaming studios release more enticing games to play every day. You can play on your phone, computer, or a console, and now even on completely wireless VR headsets that will run the game right before your eyes. In recent years, studies have found that over 2.5 billion people actively play video games, making it one of America’s most enjoyed pastimes. Now, there is a unique and exciting way to game in the Treasure Valley, and it’s unlike anything we’ve ever seen.

Joey and Jesse Longoria have spent time between Idaho and Texas since 2001 but in 2010 Jesse and his family decided to settle down in Boise for good. Joey, his wife Callie, and their young kids visited Jesse and his family off and on while living in Texas but always knew they wanted to move to Idaho someday. Before Joey and Callie moved to Idaho, they got with Jesse and came up with a plan to bring a business to the city of trees that it had never seen before.

The process to find that business idea took some time but finally struck Joey as he was driving 70-foot party boats on Lake Grapevine near Dallas, Texas. As Joey was navigating a party around the lake, he looked out towards the shore to see a large trailer driving that advertised as a mobile video game truck. He took note of the phone number on the trailer and called it later to see if he could book the trailer to experience it for himself. When he called, he learned that the trailer was booked out solid for the next eight weekends. Instantly the lightbulb went off about what business the Longoria family would bring to Boise and surrounding cities.

Mobile game trucks can be found in other cities like Portland and Denver, but the Longoria Game truck is the first of its kind in the lower Gem State. The team has put together an unmissable gaming experience for any and every gamer.
